I
got the Paramed Comfort Aneroid Sphygmomanometer - Professional Blood
Pressure Monitor with Stethoscope and Adult Sized Cuff Included in
dark blue since my daughter is a nursing student and she can teach me
how to use this. The first thing I noticed is that the stethoscope
is not exactly professional. But it does work. You have to assemble
it which was not difficult. I really like being able to hear my
heart now. I had breast cancer a year ago and after chemo I worry
about my heart. There are times that I feel funny and wonder if it is
my heart. Now I can listen and see if it is a strong and steady
heartbeat.
The
blood pressure monitor works too. My daughter taught me how to use
it.
There
is a nice zipper bag to keep it in. It is mrked on the outside too
so I can see it and recognize it right away in my cupboard.
The
dial seems heavy and of good quality. I works well and moves
smoothly like expected.
It
pumps up nicely and releases at a good rate.
The
cuff has velcro all around it so it can work for many arm sizes. At
the doctor's office they use the extra large cuff for me and this one
worked very well. It also worked well on my daughter who is much
smaller than I am.
The
stethoscope isn't a professional one but still works. It hurts the
ears a bit but it is not that bad for the little bit of time you need
to use it. If you were doing a whole group of people it might bother
you though.
I
would recommend this if you are looking for an affordable kit to use
in your home.
