This Restoration Lightweight & Comfortable Contoured Sleep Mask has a unique design. It has foam that makes it bulge out in front of the eyes. So you don't have something pressing against your eyes all night. You can put on the mask and open your eyes all the way and see just darkness. It really seals out the light! The mask is larger than most to give more complete coverage of the face. If you sleep on your back, it will be perfect for you by not pressing your eyes. If you sleep on your side or belly, you will get some pressure around whatever eye is against the pillow, since the pillow will press against the mask. Having the foam pressing near the eye may bother very sensitive people. Others may not like the mask going over the top of the nose. However, I have slept with this mask for about a week now and have found these features did not bother me. The material is smooth and soft.
The strap is adjustable for different sized heads or different preferences on tightness. The box says that the mask is washable but does not give washing directions. To be safe, I will probably wash it by hand in cool water and leave it to line dry. I have not needed to do that yet.
This came with free ear plugs but I do not need them so I am not using them.
Overall, I think this mask is a great buy for the money! (12.99) It is comfortable, lightweight, and adjustable. I prefer it over my more conventional, flat mask, especially since I have a tendency toward dry eyes. If I need one again, I will definitely go with this one.
