When I got breast cancer and started chemo the doctor told me to begin taking Vitamin D3. I have been taking it since which is nearly a year. When I saw the Zahler Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) 3,000IU up for review I thought I would give it a try. It is and extra 1,000 IU as what I had been taking but figured it should be ok.  I told my oncologist today that I upped my dosage and he said it was fine.  He did not say it was better but did not say it was bad either.  According to WebMD, It is also used for boosting the immune system, preventing autoimmune diseases, and preventing cancer.”  (other reasons were listed too.)  I am on chemo for breast cancer and chemo effects the immune system so not only am I fighting cancer but immune problems.  This is why I am taking it.
I cannot say if it has done anything for my health exactly since they have not done any tests but I can say that I have been taking this dosage now for a month and I have not had any issues with my digestive system. I can struggle with this when taking pills sometimes so it is always a concern for me.
These soft gels do not have any taste when I take them or after. I hate when pills leave an after taste. I was pleased this did not.  I did take this same brand at the 2,000 dosage.  Neither the 2,000 nor 3,000 have affected me negatively.
I have had no issues at all so I would recommend this product. I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
