The LotFancy Soft and Comfortable Hot or Cold Gel-Pack - Reusable Heating or Cooling Therapy for Sprains, Muscle or Joint Pain, Arthritis, Bruises, Fever, Etc. (10.8 X4.9 inch) is a nice pack.  I do not tend to have the need for a hot pack but I use an ice pack often enough.  I tend to have headaches and shoulder pain.  This is why I decided to order and review this item.
The first thing I noticed is that it says to freeze for 2 hours but I found it needed a bit more.  Three hours was pretty good so may be it was just my freezer.  When I took it out it was very flexible and the gel was soft.  I was able to mold it around my eyes for my headache or also around my shoulder.
The outer covering is fabric and says you don’t need something else but I found I still needed to put a thin towel around it so it wasn’t too cold on my bare skin.  I would imagine that for other people they would be find with out it but I like it better with a towel for the first little bit and then  I used it as it is.
I like that it is waterproof so if I have a headache and want to lay in a hot bath and put this on my head I don’t have to worry about ruining it.
I tested it in the microwave also so I would know how it worked.  I would not leave it in for 3 minutes.  I think that must be a maximum time.  I found a minute on 50% power was about right.  This was from room temperature.
Also, if you don’t have a microwave, you can boil it in water.  This would be great for camping.
