The first thing I noticed when I opened the padded envelope that they came in was that the box was a little smashed. For me this is ok but if you were gifting it this might make a difference.
The pencils are about the same size as I remember my colored pencils being when I was in school.
There are lots of colors to choose from and I like this. It makes it that I can do little variances easily.
They came presharpened. They have a very nice point. The leads were pretty strong. I did have one break when I was coloring but one is not bad. When I sharpened it again the lead was nicely lined up centered and not where the wood comes up all the way on one side so you have to peel it away. I was glad they don't do that since I hate when that happens.
When I colored with the pencils I found that some of the colors were easier than others. Some were smooth and easy and others I had to push harder and go over it to get a nice vibrant color. For this reason I choose to use some of them more than others.
The colors were nice and pretty true to what you would think.
I ditched the box because it did not hold up very well after being smashed. I now have them all in a pencil box that my kids don't use any more for school. If you gift them you might want to include something else to put them in.
I am happy with most of these colored pencils and they do well for my adult coloring. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
