Pros:
• It is in a sturdy box. This is something you could easily gift wrap. It would make a nice gift. Or you could put it in a grill basket with other grill things for a gift.
• It reads in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
• It automatically turns on and off when opened and closed. This is a really nice feature for me.
• The batteries are included. At first I thought they weren’t or that it was broke but then I realized that they were in there but I had to take them out of the plastic packaging. I really like when the batteries are included so big plus for me here.
• It has an automatic shut off. If you leave it lay open and forget to shut it off, it will automatically turn itself off to save the batteries. I am forgetful so this is great for me. The first time I used it I left it lay and found out about this feature.
• It seems to be accurate. I tested it with my non digital thermometer and they seemed about the same.
Cons:
• It is sharp. This is a pro and a con. It punctures the food easily to test it but if you keep it in a drawer watch out. I ended up putting it back in the box.
All in all I think you will be pleased with this thermometer. It will make a nice gift or a great item for yourself. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
